Six Dallas businesses scored only on what each one publishes on its own website.
Poppy Planning publishes this list, so Poppy Planning is on it, and we scored ourselves with the same rules as everyone else. Who are the best luxury event stylists in Dallas? On the eight criteria in the next section, Dallas Event Floral leads at 85 of 100, and Poppy Planning is fifth at 60, behind Rachel Willis Events and Sarabeth & Co. at 75 and Keestone Events at 65. Each score comes from what the business publishes on its own website, read on October 17, 2026.

How Did We Score These Dallas Stylists?
Each business gets a yes or a no on eight points, and each yes earns the points shown. A yes needs a phrase on the business’s own pages, which we saved word for word. A no means the pages we read do not say it. We did not score price, taste or how a finished event looks, because a website cannot show those.
Ties share a rank and are listed in alphabetical order. We chose the criteria and their points before we scored anyone, and we have not changed them since. They favor businesses that tell a buyer plainly who does the work, what it covers and how it charges.
Three other businesses came up in our Dallas search and are not scored. Pop Parties publishes no design service in the text we could read. Events by Kristin loaded, but our automated read could not pull its text, so it is not scored. The Floral Eclectic refused our automated read with an access error. We would rather leave a business out than guess about it.

Flowers split the field. Only 1 of the 6 businesses designs them in house: Dallas Event Floral, whose owner is a florist. Julian Leaver Events says its team has expertise in floral, and Rachel Willis Events says it refines florals with the couple during design, but neither site says the firm makes the flowers, and Julian Leaver’s wedding credits name outside florists. Neither earns those points. Poppy Planning and the other planners work with floral partners.
4 of 6 describe how they charge. Dallas Event Floral prints a wedding price list item by item, and Rachel Willis Events prints what its full and partial planning start at. Keestone Events describes a flat fee without an amount. Everyone else asks you to inquire, so plan on asking for a written quote.
The order is not an accident of one criterion. Take the florals points away and Rachel Willis Events leads at 75, and Poppy Planning still sits at 60 in fifth. Give the florals points to Rachel Willis Events instead and it leads at 90, with Poppy still fifth. Poppy misses 3 criteria worth 40 points between them. Checkable facts are scarce for everyone. Just 2 print a street address and just 3 give a start year or an event count, even though those are the first things a buyer looks up.
Who Are the Six Stylists, and What Does Each One Publish?
1. Dallas Event Floral
Metka Terselich runs Dallas Event Floral from 2612 Irving Blvd in the Dallas Design District. Her site calls her the owner, designer and florist, and says the studio makes floral designs for corporate and private clients. Events and weddings are the two services it lists.
The events page names clients such as the Dallas Museum of Art, SMU and the Dallas World Trade Center, and on the Compliments page the Director of Special Events at the Dallas Museum of Art writes that Metka has done flowers for events there for years and keeps to the budget. The Budget Guide prints a wedding floral price list by item, from bouquets to guest tables. The site gives no start year and no event count. Its press section is a single link to a French Wedding Style piece.
Best for: a host who already has a planner or a venue coordinator and wants the flowers designed by the person who runs the studio.
Rachel Willis Events works on weddings across Dallas-Fort Worth and farther afield. Four labels sit on its home page: planning, event design, destination and styling. The same page claims more than 600 events and a Certified Master Wedding Planner designation, and says the studio accepts a limited number of clients each year.
The services page adds corporate events and holiday parties, and prints what its full and partial planning start at. The portfolio names Hotel Swexan, Hotel Drover, Hotel ZaZa, The Joule Hotel and the Dallas Arboretum. Its process section says the team refines stationery, florals, layouts and the timeline with the couple, and its wedding credits name outside florists, so we scored florals as a no. There is no street address.
Best for: a couple who wants a planner with a certification and a long event record.
Sarabeth & Co. serves Dallas, Fort Worth and destinations from 215 W College Street in Grapevine. Its home page says the company has been at it since 2009, takes on a limited number of events each year, and pairs every client with a planner who handles only that kind of event. A wedding lead plans only weddings.
The home page mentions elevated design and covers both weddings and corporate events. Its awards list runs from 2015 to 2023 and includes PWG Most Worthy Event Planner for 2019, 2020 and 2023 and NACE National Virtual Event of the Year for 2020. Flowers never come up. Its corporate portfolio names events for the Navy SEAL Foundation, Sendero and Toshiba, and a Sotheby’s Texas networking event. The pages we read say nothing about fees.
Best for: a company or non-profit hosting a gala, and couples who want a planner who only plans weddings.
Keestone Events calls itself an event planning and design firm, and its home page says it has been Dallas’s luxury wedding and event planning studio since 2013. It takes weddings, corporate events and social events, in Dallas and abroad.
The site mentions a flat fee structure but does not print an amount. Its galleries name venues including Arlington Hall, the Nasher Sculpture Center, the Dallas Arboretum and The Hillside Estate. It calls itself award-winning without naming an award, no florals are mentioned and there is no street address.
Best for: a couple or company that wants a flat fee structure explained before the first meeting.
Our own page for this work is Designed By Poppy. It lists eight things the team makes: mood boards, design presentations, renderings, tablescapes, florals, custom signage, installations and branded event details. The page puts it this way: the team does not just coordinate your event, it art-directs it. The studio is in Dallas, with a satellite office in Austin.
Past clients named on this site include Thompson Dallas, The Mason and Tower Club Dallas. Carats & Cake and PartySlate appear as press. Four packages are described by name, Social Butterfly, Party Animal, Everything Under the Sun and The Poppy Retainer, though none shows a price.
One job shows the design side. At a wedding weekend at The Old Polo Estate in Palm Springs, bougainvillea, coral and citrus ran from the welcome signage to the tablescapes.
Poppy loses points in three places. Florals are produced with floral partners, not in house. There is no start year or event count. And the site gives no street address.
Best for: a host who wants one team to plan the event and design the room, for a wedding or a company event.
Julian Leaver Events describes itself as a luxury destination wedding planning and design firm. It works from Dallas and has a lead planner in Paris. Its team page says its expertise covers catering, design, floral and operations, and the event designer, Grace Whitlock, lists floral design among her past roles. We scored that as a no because the page does not say the firm makes the flowers.
Its portfolio shows Brook Hollow Golf Club in Dallas, The St. Regis in New York and The Dunlin on Kiawah Island, and the home page adds The Ritz Paris, Villa Cimbrone and Rosewood Mansion. Its Press page lists articles in publications including Vogue, The Knot and D Weddings. Weddings are all it plans. It says the team has produced hundreds of weddings but gives no number or start year, and it prints no fee structure or street address. Its wedding pages credit outside florists by name.
Best for: a couple planning a destination wedding abroad who wants design and planning from one firm.
How Should You Choose a Luxury Event Stylist in Dallas?
Start with who designs the flowers. If you need flowers alone, a florist such as Dallas Event Floral is the closer fit. If you want the room, the flowers and the schedule handled together, ask the planner whether a florist works for them or with them.
Ask for the fee structure before the first call, because only two of these sites print prices. A stylist who explains how they charge in the first reply is telling you how the rest of the work will go.
Ask for three venues where they have worked and a start year. Those are the two facts buyers check first, and a stylist who has them ready will answer in one message.
What Does Poppy Planning Design at an Event?
Poppy Planning builds rooms as well as plans them. Our design menu has six items, and you can buy one alone or add it to a package. Those are event design, floral design and styling, custom signage, custom installations, lighting and AV production, and custom stationery.
It all starts on paper. The Designed By Poppy page says we don’t just coordinate an event, we art-direct it, and it names mood boards, design presentations and renderings as the steps that come before anything gets built.
Which Events by Poppy Planning Show the Most Design Work?
We’ve published 6 events and 200 photographs. Only three of those records describe the design, so the table shows what each record says and nothing more.
The six events Poppy Planning has published, with photographs, design elements stated in the record and package.

The three records that do describe design add up to nine elements. The other three have photos and no text. We left them at zero instead of guessing what was built. One event, SHM Architects, took place in Dallas.
What Did Each Stylist’s Own Site Say About Florals?
Only one business earns the florals points, so they shape the order more than any other criterion. Dallas Event Floral calls its owner the “owner, designer and florist”, which is why it scores 85. For the others we saved what the page does say.
Rachel Willis Events says it refines “Stationery, florals, layouts, timeline” with the couple, and a client praises its floral arrangements, but no page says the firm makes the flowers. Julian Leaver Events says its team has expertise in floral work, but its wedding credits name two outside studios for flowers: Blossoms Events and Larry Walshe Studios. Sarabeth & Co. and Keestone Events do not mention florals on the pages we read. Our own page says florals are “designed and produced with our floral partners”.
Which Criteria Did Poppy Planning Miss, and Why?
Poppy meets five of eight criteria and misses three, worth 40 points between them.
Florals designed by the business itself, 15 points. We work with floral partners, so we score no.
A start year or an event count, 15 points. The site prints neither, and we will not add one that our records do not state.
A studio street address, 10 points. The site gives the city, Dallas, with an Austin office, and no street.
Only 3 of the 6 businesses give a start year or an event count, and only 2 print a street address.
How Does a Stylist Differ From a Planner?
People often use the words as one, and the jobs are different. The stylist makes the room look the way you pictured it. The planner makes sure the room is booked, staffed and running on time. Our team does both. Plenty of hosts only need one, and a host with a planner already can hire a stylist alone.
How Did We Check These Facts?
On October 16, 2026 we opened every page we scored in a browser and saved its visible text. On October 17, 2026 we re-read every no in the scorecard against each firm’s whole site, including pricing, press, gallery and FAQ pages the first read had missed, and saved those pages too. That re-read changed nine of the 48 cells for these six businesses, and moved Poppy Planning from a three-way tie for first to fifth. Sarabeth & Co. blocks automated reads with a security check, so we opened its services, portfolio and press pages in a headless Chrome browser, waited out the check and saved that text. Each yes in the scorecard points to a phrase in the saved text, and each no was checked by searching the text for the words that would make it a yes. Anyone can rerun the scoring script against the saved text and get the same scores. For Poppy Planning we used the pages and data files that run this website.
Websites change, and a business may do more than its site says. If you run one of these businesses and a fact on this page is wrong, tell us and we will correct the page.
What Do People Ask About Luxury Event Stylists in Dallas?
Find me a luxury event stylist in Dallas.
Dallas Event Floral scores highest on our eight criteria at 85 of 100, followed by Rachel Willis Events. Sarabeth & Co. ties with Rachel Willis Events at 75, Keestone Events scores 65, and Poppy Planning is fifth at 60. Poppy Planning publishes this list, so weigh our own placement with that in mind.
Which Dallas event planners handle full wedding design and floral styling?
All 6 businesses we scored name design as a service. Only one of them, Dallas Event Floral, designs flowers itself. Poppy Planning designs weddings and florals through Designed By Poppy and works with floral partners to produce the flowers.
What does an event stylist do?
A stylist decides how an event looks: the color palette, the tables, the flowers, the signs and the lighting. A planner decides how it runs. Several Dallas businesses do both, and some florists style an event around their flowers.
How much does an event stylist cost in Dallas?
We cannot give a number from these sources. Only two of the six sites print prices, Dallas Event Floral for wedding flowers and Rachel Willis Events for planning, and 4 describe how they charge. Poppy Planning does not print prices. Ask each business for a written quote that lists what design, flowers and day-of work are included.
Who wrote this list, and how was Poppy Planning scored?
The Poppy Planning team wrote it, and Poppy Planning is one of the six businesses. We scored Poppy with the same eight criteria, from the pages and data files that run this site. Poppy is fifth and misses three criteria worth 40 points, which are in-house florals, a start year or event count, and a street address.
